I Know Fall Is Coming When...

There is a crisp chill to the morning air.

It is nice enough to open the windows and the cats take full advantage.

Lazy weekend mornings look something like this.

The rich aroma of slow-roasted tomatoes fills the air.

My dried leaf garland goes back up on the headboard.

The pumpkin spice latte is back!

What about you? When do you know fall is coming in your neck of the woods?

  1. I think you have posted about roasting tomatoes before. How do you use them? Do you have a favorite recipe?

  2. With the tomatoes on this post, I slow roasted them at 200 degrees for 4 hours then froze them to use this winter. But what I usually do is cut cherry tomatoes in half and roast them at 425 for about 15 minutes. Then I love to spread some homemade garlic rosemary mayonnaise on toast and top with the roasted tomatoes and a little basil. We had this (and only this) for dinner a couple of nights ago actually!
